A big thank you to SeeThat Video productions and animation for a great video of the night, Paul Fletcher Photography and the rest of the Hilton team.

A boost for the tourism industry!

Brighton finally agrees to the 'Giant Ferris Wheel.'

This week it was agreed that the Brighton Wheel will go ahead in a bid to provide an attraction for the east part of the Brighton seafront, plus it is expected that it will attract close to 250,000 tourists per year to the attraction which is great news for the Brighton Hotel Industry!

In a recent announcement by the Brighton and Hove planning committee, the 45m high structure will be located 100 m east of Brighton Pier and the opening hours will between 10am to 11pm daily.

At capacity the attraction will carry 280 passengers in 36 cabins for a ride that lasts around 11 minutes. The ride will give the most impressive views up and down the Brighton and Hove seafront and will help position the city of Brighton and Hove as one of the number one tourist hot spots in the UK, increasing on its 12 million tourists.

Developers say the permission for the structure will only be for 5 years and a condition of the consent is that it must be taken down in May 2016.

Operators (yet to be announced) will be required to put in measures to minimise noise and improve public transport to the site.

Brighton and Hove councile are also still hopeful that the i360 viewing tower will be erected at the West Pier site.
